下午和Damon（美國博後）閒聊，講到一半，突然，站在水槽旁的Heike（德國大眼姊姊博士生）邊端詳手上塑膠盒裡泡在淡藍色液體中的透明膠質物，邊雀躍的喊了一聲：yes! my mutant!

我和Damon看了Heike一眼，然後心有所感的跟Damon說：Sometimes I really feel strange that we can be irritated because of bad results but also can be that happy because of a tiny protein band. I mean, it's a happiness for a scientist, but not for a human being.

然後我們的結論是，因為科學研究要客觀，而要人類保持客觀本來就很難，於是我們讓科學家，而不是人類，來研究科學。
